**Pay**: £27,300 - £30,615 per annum (pro rata for part time working)

**Contract**: Initial 12 months fixed term, with the possibility to extend depending on funding

- Please note that whilst this role is primarily based in Lowestoft, the postholder will be required to travel to Bury St Edmunds for approximately 1 day per week so a driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential_

**About the role**:
The service which will work with individuals aged 18 and over. The majority of the delivery is for those classed as ‘Economically Inactive’ which for this project the Government has defined as follows: Economically inactive individuals are those not in work and not actively seeking work (unlike unemployed individuals who are actively seeking work).

There is also an expectation of some specific support to employed individuals, particularly around life skills and digital skills.

This project aims to address barriers and ultimately move more participants closer to, and into, work. It is also about working closely with other stakeholders to create healthy, inclusive activities and, although this project has specific operational priorities and targets to hit with geographical volumes of activity, there is a fundamental commitment to changing mindsets, cultures, and values through this work.

By working with local stakeholders to signpost to existing services, while handholding the individual and guiding their path, you will ensure the project is delivering added value and complementing, rather than duplicating, existing services.

**Principal Responsibilities**

**Project Co-ordination**: identify and engage adults from across East and West Suffolk to participate in personal development services, utilising targeted outreach strategies and collaboration with local agencies and community partners.

**Engagement and Participation**: develop and tailor support plans for adults focusing on building essential employability skills, addressing barriers to engagement and facilitating access to education and training.

**Coaching and Mentoring**:provide individual and group workshops for all adults on the programme designed for economically inactive individuals to participate and engage fully.

**Monitoring and Evaluation**: monitor and evaluate participant progress, programme effectiveness and outcomes, reporting using data systems and attending stakeholder meetings.

Key indicators are focused on the regular engagement with residents and their progress within their own individual journey up to and including move-on outcomes.

Outcomes for the programme will include:

- Number of people supported to engage in life skills
- Number of volunteering opportunities supported
- Number of people supported to access basic skills
- Number of people supported to participate in education
- Number of people receiving support to gain a vocational licence
- Number of people engaged in mainstream skills education and training
- Number of people receiving support to gain employment

**Person Specification**
- Experience of managing a project
- Experience of data reporting and working to KPI’s
- Experience of delivering Information, Advice and Guidance
- Experience of supporting employment-based services
- Experience of sourcing a wide range of different pathways towards the employment market tailored to the needs of vulnerable adults
- Experience of delivering employability skills training and/or workshops
- Enhanced DBS, this can be undertaken if you do not already hold a certificate
- Full UK Driving License and access to own vehicle
- Ability to engage and inspire adults with barriers to employment
- Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
- Self-motivated and target driven
- Presentation and teaching skills
- Willingness to work outside of normal office hours if required
