About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our County Local Mental Health Teams (LMHT) in Nottinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity to develop skills and expertise in a community setting, providing care to adults across the city area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of patients living in the community, providing initial assessments, one-to-one interventions, and comprehensive need/risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, utilizing specialist skills and knowledge to maintain professional competence and fitness to practice as a nurse.
  • Establish and maintain robust communication networks with clients, carers, team members, and other healthcare and social care workers within urgent care and the community.
  • Use interpersonal skills to diffuse potentially emotive situations while undertaking assessments and pathway planning within acute settings.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualification (Mental Health) to degree level or equivalent.
  • Maintains current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Further specialist knowledge or post-registration experience in specific service areas or other formal training.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrates continued professional development.
  • Awareness of national and local issues impacting on nursing care.
  • Knowledge of management theories.
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
