Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Willing Care. As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients in an Acute and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing team in providing comprehensive care to patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Act as a role model and mentor, providing support and guidance to junior staff members.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans.
  • Administer medication and monitor the effects, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Utilize therapeutic communication techniques to engage with patients and support their mental health recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and contribute to the assessment and evaluation of care delivery.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification and valid UK NMC Pin.
  • Proven experience working in a mental health setting, ideally within an Acute or PICU environment.
  • Strong understanding of mental health conditions and their impact on individuals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating leadership and clinical expertise.
  • Commitment to providing person-centered care and upholding the highest standards of nursing practice.
