About the Role

Halo Resourcing Ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Controller to join our Production Control team. This permanent role offers the opportunity to contribute to our dynamic team and ensure the smooth operation of our component supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase Order Management: Release and expedite component orders, maintaining delivery schedules to support company's Assembly and After Sales.
  • Manual Orders: Raise manually generated orders for components outside of MRP control.
  • Vendor Performance: Monitor delivery performance of selected vendors and implement improvements.
  • Supplier Deliveries: Track and ensure progress on supplier deliveries.
  • Meetings: Attend supplier and department meetings to discuss targets and actions.
  • Risk Identification: Identify and report risks to company's continuity of component supply.
  • Departmental Support: Assist in achieving departmental and company objectives.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Risk Management: Identify and report risks to company's continuity of component supply.
  • Delivery Scheduling: Manage delivery schedules of FCLs to avoid detention or demurrage.
  • Freight Management: Pass freight-related invoices for FCLs for China.
  • Logistics Coordination: Liaise with 3PLs.
General Tasks
  • Procedure Adherence: Understand and follow relevant procedures and training manuals.
  • Task Execution: Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of tasks.
  • Departmental Support: Support departmental objectives and improvement activities.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a tidy work environment
  • Compliance: Adhere to procedures and compliance regulations (SOX, ISO9001, ISO14001).
  • Additional Tasks: Take on additional tasks as requested by supervisors or managers.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A to C, including English Language and Maths.
  • Skills: Motivated, computer literate, and enthusiastic with good numeracy and attention to detail.
