Job Overview

The Colliers flood risk division is a leader in real estate due diligence, leveraging innovative flood risk methodologies and technologies to assist our clients in maximizing the value of their properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Professional Services: As an Environmental / Flood Risk and SuDS Consultant at Colliers, you will provide expert environmental services related to transactional due diligence and property development.
  • Report Management: You will be tasked with managing and preparing Flood Risk and SuDS reports essential for planning and technical due diligence.
  • Technical Evaluation: Utilizing your technical knowledge, you will assess a wide array of environmental factors and convey findings and risks in clear, commercial language tailored to our clients, which include property investors, fund managers, high net worth individuals, and developers.
  • Internal Expertise: You will serve as a technical resource for various departments within the organization, supporting team members from Graduates to Directors.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with the Senior Consultant and Technical Director, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality work while fostering and developing successful client relationships.
  • Professional Development: The Environmental team consists of a group of motivated young professionals. You will benefit from exceptional training and mentorship from industry experts to advance your career.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree in a relevant field such as Geography, Geology, Geological Engineering, or Environmental Science.
  • 1-2 years of relevant industry experience, particularly in technical report writing.
  • Proficiency in GIS (especially QGIS) or CAD.
  • Experience in client-facing roles.
  • Willingness to engage with client inquiries via phone and email, and to consult regularly with regulatory bodies.
  • Proven ability to consistently deliver high-quality work in a commercial context.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid driving license and readiness to drive for business purposes as needed.
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications.

Desirable:

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Chartered status or working towards it.
  • Experience in business development.
  • Familiarity with GIS/CAD tools.
  • Experience with MicroDrainage/Flow Causeway and Flood Modelling software.
