Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage modelling studies and flood risk projects to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and lead flood risk assessments, utilizing industry-standard software and expertise in fluvial flood modelling.
  • Support, develop, and line manage junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Resolve technical modelling issues and advance technical expertise to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Conduct reviews of hydraulic models to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare project proposals, bids, and fee estimates to secure new business opportunities.
  • Manage project components, resources, subcontractors, and client communication to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure project integrity and quality.
  • Ensure compliance and quality in project components, adhering to industry regulations and Arcadis standards.

Requirements:

  • Chartership with an appropriate professional body.
  • Experience in fluvial flood modelling using industry-standard software.
  • Ability to manage commercial aspects of projects, including budgeting and financial planning.
  • Expertise in conducting Flood Risk Assessments and knowledge of flood risk policies.
  • Desired: Experience in hydrological studies and UK hydrological methodologies.
  • Desired: Experience in Surface Water Management Plans and SuDS.
  • Desired: Experience in water resource assessments and Environmental Impact Assessments.
