Position Overview

The Colliers flood risk division is a leader in real estate due diligence, employing innovative flood risk methodologies and technologies to assist our clients in maximizing the value of their properties.

We seek a qualified candidate with the necessary expertise to contribute to our ambitious growth objectives within the environmental sector.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • As an Environmental / Flood Risk and SuDS Consultant at Colliers, you will deliver professional environmental services related to transactional due diligence and property development.
  • Your role will involve managing and preparing Flood Risk and SuDS reports for planning and technical due diligence.
  • Utilizing your technical knowledge, you will assess a wide range of environmental considerations and convey findings and risks in clear, commercial language tailored to our clients, which include property investors, fund managers, high net worth individuals, and developers.
  • You will serve as a technical resource for various departments within the organization, providing guidance from entry-level staff to senior management.
  • Collaborating closely with the Senior Consultant and Technical Director, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality work while fostering and developing strong client relationships.
  • The Environmental team consists of a group of enthusiastic professionals. You will benefit from exceptional training and mentorship from industry leaders to advance your career.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree in a relevant field such as Geography, Geology, Geological Engineering, or Environmental Science.
  • 1-2 years of relevant industry experience, particularly in technical report writing.
  • Proficiency in GIS (particularly QGIS) or CAD.
  • Experience in client-facing roles.
  • Ability to handle client inquiries via phone and email, and engage with regulatory bodies.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work in a commercial context.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possession of a valid driving license and willingness to travel for business purposes as needed.
  • Standard proficiency in MS Office applications.

Desirable:

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Chartered status or working towards it.
  • Experience in business development.
  • Familiarity with GIS/CAD software.
  • Experience with MicroDrainage/Flow Causeway and Flood Modelling software.
