Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our HVDC project team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a focus on delivering complex engineering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Delivery: Manage and deliver the HVDC project scope of work, ensuring close adherence to the global time schedule and coherency of links between engineering activities and other project functions.
  2. Progress Reviews: Carry out regular and thorough reviews of project progress, assessing time, cost, quality, and risks.
  3. Reporting: Prepare and deliver comprehensive project reports as part of the governance of the project and as part of the reporting process for the overall project.
  4. Technical Interfaces: Plan and manage technical interfaces, put in place exchange interface sheets with partners, customers, and third-party contractors.
  5. Project KPIs: Accountable for project delivery Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery and budget for PDG scope.
  6. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and support to the project engineering team, ensuring the delivery of PDG engineering scope according to DOR and managing day-to-day activities.
  7. Risk Management: Assess risks, including risk mitigation plans, and keep up-to-date risk registers.
  8. Design and Engineering: Check the effectiveness of design against delivery of contract requirements within project budget and look for global cost optimization in all design phases.
  9. EHS and Quality: Integrate EHS requirements based on project strategy and deploy HAZID sessions at different project phases.
  10. Supplier Management: Apply design subcontracting process and support sourcing and procurement in the definition of the supplier's list, equipment ITO, and FAT procedure review.
  11. Site Organization: Support site organization during site preparation and throughout construction and commissioning stages.
  12. Engineering Project Teams: Organize input data acquisition for O&MM & As built and organize engineering project teams ROE according to unit process.
  13. Quality Procedures: Comply with quality procedures, work instructions, and processes defined at unit, project level, and in EMH, and report or resolve any non-conformances and process in a timely manner.
Requirements
  1. Education: Engineering degree level or equivalent education in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Experience: Extensive experience, of which 2 to 4 projects in a position of Project Engineering Manager, managing medium-sized projects across several project contexts in EPC type environments in T&D, Power Gen, or Oil&Gas industry.
  3. Skills: Mastering of involved discipline (process, tools, technical aspects) and successful experience in management of multi-disciplinary teams with multiple interfaces and with products coming from several countries.
  4. Language: Fluent in English and demonstrated presentation skills and ability to succinctly communicate complex messages.
  5. Leadership: Demonstrates ownership & accountability, judgment and decision making, influences & inspires team, relationship building skills, and strong technical problem-solving skills and experience.
