Airfield Compliance Trainee

Primary Objective of the Role:

As Birmingham Airport enhances its safety protocols, this position is vital in assisting the Airfield teams to maintain compliance.

Your duties will encompass:

  • Collaborating effectively within a team.

  • Complying with safety regulations and implementing best practices.
  • Contributing to the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.

Safety Accountability & Responsibility:

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant aerodrome operational regulations.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

You will collaborate closely with the Airfield Compliance Officer, assisting in various activities such as:

  • Understanding and applying pertinent ICAO, CAA, and aerodrome regulations.
  • Supporting compliance procedures within an aviation context.
  • Contributing to compliance support services.
  • Conducting audits and inspections in partnership with team members and other departments.
  • Providing administrative support to Airfield Compliance.
  • Documenting compliance checks and meeting records.
  • Managing audit plans, bookings, and documentation.
  • Assisting with document control audits.
  • Updating regulatory documentation.
  • Helping compile team statistics.
  • Reviewing change requests and identifying non-compliance issues.

Qualifications

As an Airfield Compliance Trainee, you will receive training to become a Regulatory Compliance Officer (Level 4) over a 21-month period, which includes off-site opportunities for various learning experiences. This may involve college-based courses, industry training, and recognized regulatory programs.
