Stroke and Neurology Specialist Physiotherapist

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Rotational Physiotherapist to join our team in Neurology and Stroke Services. This is a rare opportunity to gain experience in a variety of specialized areas, including Acute Stroke, Stroke Rehabilitation, Early Supported Discharge Service, and more.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will work alongside highly skilled clinical specialist staff from the MDT and will be supported by a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist within each rotation. The rotations are 12 months long, allowing for the development of skills in each area and becoming part of the team.
The candidate will be expected to support and train less experienced staff and to be a clinical educator to students from various universities. A basic respiratory skill set is desirable, but training will be offered as required.
About the RoleThis is a Band 6 Specialist Rotational Physiotherapist position, working in a variety of health care settings, including community clinics, hospitals, and rehabilitation units. The successful candidate will be employed by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and will work closely with University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
The role offers a comprehensive induction package, training programme, and opportunities for external training and professional development. The successful candidate will be expected to take an active role in their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to develop their skills within this specialty.
