About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Sushi Chef to join our culinary team at Soho Farmhouse. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our Japanese-inspired dishes, including sushi, robata grill, and sashimi.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement seasonal menus that showcase our culinary expertise and creativity
  • Lead a high-performing kitchen team, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation
  • Collaborate with our General Manager to drive business growth and revenue through innovative menu offerings and promotions
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including HACCP standards
  • Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and materials
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and best practices to continuously improve our culinary offerings
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment
  • Proven track record of leading a kitchen team to achieve exceptional food quality and presentation
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, including sushi, robata grill, and sashimi preparation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work varying shift times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
