About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Vascular Scientist to join our Vascular Lab team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our vascular services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and report vascular ultrasound examinations with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage the patient workload and prioritize tasks to optimize patient flow.
  • Participate in research, audit, and teaching activities to enhance our vascular services.
  • Supervise and train junior staff members, including Clinical Vascular Scientists and trainees.
  • Contribute to the development of our vascular services, including the implementation of service improvement projects.
Requirements
  • Accreditation as a Vascular Scientist via The Society of Vascular Scientists or equivalent qualifications.
  • Strong experience of vascular ultrasound scanning and a highly developed specialized knowledge of the full range of non-invasive vascular measurements.
  • Previous NHS experience and specialized knowledge of vascular anatomy.
  • Leadership and management experience, as well as experience of training others in Vascular Ultrasound.
