Job Title: Sales Account Manager

Location: Office-based, Cambridge, UK

About The Role

We are seeking a results-driven, experienced, and collaborative sales professional to manage all aspects of the sales process. Key responsibilities include prospecting, closing accounts, maximizing deal value, and working closely with the technical team to support product demonstrations and trials.

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly and consistently close deals to meet sales targets.
  • Qualify and prioritize deals to optimize sales operations.
  • Develop and execute strategies for key deals to maximize win probability and deal velocity.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to support successful product demonstrations and industrial trials.
  • Refine and execute prospecting approaches, including creative follow-up with the outbound sales team.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the sales process with ideas, leadership, and execution.
  • Provide the wider team with reports on customer needs, problems, and opportunities to support marketing and new product development.
  • Continuously improve through feedback.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven sales track record.
  • Experience in selling or working with technical products (experience in materials science, mechanical testing, inspection, and/or engineering is advantageous).
  • Experience in the advanced manufacturing and/or testing marketplace is a major plus.
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
  • Comfortable selling and working with technical products and buyers.
  • Ambition to progress into a leadership role as the company grows.

Helpful but Not Essential

  • Experience working in an early or growth-stage company.
  • Experience selling into Additive Manufacturing industry

Compensation

  • Guaranteed base salary between £50-70k, depending on experience.
  • Exciting bonus scheme (15% of salary).
