Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has emerged to become a part of our dedicated team of Lead Healthcare Assistants within the Emergency Department. We are seeking individuals who are driven, passionate, and eager to contribute to our vibrant and hardworking team.

Your responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with both Medical and Nursing personnel to ensure that a high standard of patient-focused care is consistently provided.

Effective communication skills with patients and colleagues, along with the ability to manage assigned tasks efficiently, are crucial for this role. You will be expected to uphold confidentiality and maintain a positive demeanor towards staff, patients, and their families, adhering to organizational policies and procedures, and escalating concerns to your Line Manager when necessary.

This position is situated within the Emergency Medicine Directorate, specifically in the Emergency Department, although there may be occasions where travel to other sites is required. The successful candidates will receive support to develop their competencies through our dedicated Practice Development Nurse team.

Applicants should possess a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or an equivalent credential.

Main Responsibilities

You will benefit from the guidance of a Practice Development Nurse who will assist in your professional growth alongside your team leader and the senior nursing staff. Our goal is to nurture the successful candidate in their Healthcare Support Worker role, with the potential to transition into a Trainee Nursing Associate position as you progress.

A NVQ Level 3 qualification or its equivalent is required. To join our team, you must demonstrate a compassionate and caring attitude. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with outstanding communication abilities. A genuine passion for your work and a desire to be part of a skilled multidisciplinary team delivering exceptional care in an emergency setting is essential. Flexibility and the willingness to work shifts are also necessary.
