Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant - Radiology Specialist to join our team at Nuffield Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our medical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist radiologists and other medical staff with diagnostic imaging procedures, including ultrasound, CT, and MRI scans.
- Provide patient care and support, including preparing patients for procedures, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.
- Operate medical equipment, such as ultrasound machines and CT scanners, under the supervision of radiologists.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing patient records and communicating with patients and families.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in radiology or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Basic life support certification and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to lift and move patients, as needed.
