About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Bread Ahead. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Assist with ordering, stock control, and waste management to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Implement and maintain Health and Hygiene procedures to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  • Train and develop staff across all sections of the kitchen to ensure consistency and excellence in food preparation.
  • Plan rotas, holidays, and assist in recruitment in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Be fully flexible with shifts, working across 5 days out of 7, including weekends and event days.

Requirements

  • Professional culinary qualification and a minimum of 4 years' experience working in similar establishments.
  • Knowledge of the Principles of HACCP and a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene procedures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Oral and written fluency in English.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and adaptability, with a passion for delivering exceptional results.
