We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team at Hermolis & Co Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food products are produced.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing kitchen operations, including menu planning and development.
- Estimate production needs and communicate with kitchen personnel to ensure efficient food preparation and production.
- Maintain stock control of raw and cooked products, ensuring adequate supplies are always available.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Lead shifts, preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications.
- Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversee department equipment and report malfunctions.
- Conduct quality checks on raw and cooked food products to ensure standards are met.
- Provide feedback and coaching to kitchen staff to maintain high productivity levels.
- Ensure all cleaning rotas are carried out properly and relevant administrative records are updated.
- Completed degree or diploma in food culinary or related field.
- At least 4 years of experience as a sous chef or higher level in a professional kitchen environment.
- Proven skills in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
