Job Overview

Home Instead is seeking a dedicated Care Coordinator to join our team, focusing on our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks aimed at efficiently managing and organizing the delivery of care services. Your primary duties will include:

  • Developing and maintaining effective schedules that accommodate both our clients and Care Assistants.
  • Preparing schedules while taking into account travel time, holidays, training, and unexpected changes.
  • Responding promptly to scheduling adjustments and communicating with relevant team members.
  • Collaborating with the Registered Care Director to match Care Assistants with new clients and facilitate introductions.
  • Ensuring that client schedules align with their preferences, maintaining consistency with the same Care Assistant whenever possible.
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients and Care Assistants to enhance their experiences.
  • Assisting the Registered Care Director in maintaining adequate staffing levels for current and future needs.
  • Supporting the scheduling of new and existing care packages in a timely manner.
  • Inputting and updating all client and Care Assistant information in the electronic scheduling system.
  • Performing additional tasks as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the business.
  • Upholding compliance with Home Instead's policies on equality, diversity, and equal opportunities in both employment and service delivery.
  • Participating in the recruitment process for Care Assistants.
  • Taking on on-call responsibilities as part of a rotation.
  • Providing direct care to clients when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a scheduling role within the home care sector is highly advantageous.
  • Proficient in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Strong resilience and a positive attitude, coupled with excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities, capable of working effectively under pressure.
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport quickly.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Logical and analytical thinking with the initiative to meet deadlines.
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work-related purposes.
  • Experience in the care sector is essential.
