**Job Summary**

Service Care Solutions - Legal is seeking a highly skilled Finance Technician to join their team. As a Finance Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing financial support and processing services to various clients.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide an overall finance support/processing service to various clients in a flexible manner, ensuring that an effective, efficient, and customer-focused service is delivered within required KPI, PI, and activity timescales.
  • Work as part of a team using an adult care case management system for service users requiring direct payments, provider payments, deferred payments, residential, and non-residential assessments.
  • Ensure that advice is interpreted and managed within local policies and national guidance to direct payments, provider payments, deferred payments, residential, and non-residential assessments.
  • Provide complex data management on behalf of the local authority and ensure that it falls within local policies and national guidance to process and maintain direct payments, provider payments, deferred payments, residential, and non-residential assessments.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks effectively and extract data to help support any service user complaints/requests (including SARS or FOI).
  • Effectively communicate with outside bodies such as legal service organizations.
  • Deal with routine correspondence and telephone enquiries of a personal and confidential nature pertaining to service users' financial details and the payments to service providers.
  • Deal with daily incoming and outgoing post for the direct payments, provider payments, deferred payments, residential, and non-residential assessments teams within agreed timescales and deadlines.
  • Work together with colleagues in reviewing and updating procedures to improve quality and consistency.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with Lincolnshire County Council staff, providers of services, service users, and other professionals.
  • Maintain computer and manual filing systems.

**Additional Responsibilities**

Perform such other duties as may be determined from time to time within the general scope of the post and with the agreement of the post holder.
