Overview:
Service Care Legal is seeking a Financial Support Officer to join a Local Authority in Lincolnshire on a temporary basis. This role is essential in delivering comprehensive financial assistance and processing services to a varied client base, ensuring the provision of efficient, effective, and customer-oriented service.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Financial Support Officer, you will:
  • Provide financial assistance and processing services to a diverse range of clients, ensuring compliance with established KPIs and timelines.
  • Manage and process intricate data related to direct payments, provider payments, deferred payments, and assessments, adhering to both local and national regulations.
  • Engage in effective communication with external entities and manage routine correspondence and telephone inquiries with confidentiality.
  • Ensure that all advice and services align with local policies and national guidelines.
  • Contribute to the review and enhancement of procedures to elevate service quality and consistency.
  • Maintain both electronic and manual filing systems, utilizing various client systems to manage records and generate reports.
  • Execute administrative duties, including managing correspondence, photocopying, word processing, and upholding high standards of document quality.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a financial setting, preferably within the public sector.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing tasks, accurately processing data, and utilizing Microsoft Excel for database management.
  • The ability to handle routine correspondence and telephone inquiries in a professional and confidential manner.
