We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our team. As an Advanced Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our musculoskeletal service.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with complex musculoskeletal conditions, as well as providing education and training to other healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose patients with complex musculoskeletal conditions, using advanced clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice guidelines.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including advanced therapeutic interventions such as injections and ultrasound scanning.
  • Provide education and training to other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapy students and junior staff members.
  • Contribute to the development of our musculoskeletal service, including the development of new treatments and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other therapists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to junior staff members, including physiotherapy students and junior physiotherapists.
  • Develop and implement education and training programs for other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapy students and junior staff members.
  • Contribute to the development of our musculoskeletal service, including the development of new treatments and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other therapists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Person Specification
  • Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in physiotherapy or a related field.
    • Postgraduate diploma in advanced physiotherapy practice or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience as a physiotherapist, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
    • Experience in advanced physiotherapy practice, including the use of advanced therapeutic interventions such as injections and ultrasound scanning.
  • Knowledge:
    • Advanced knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
    • Knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelines and current research in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
