Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Rotational Physiotherapist to join our esteemed Therapy Department. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to enhance their professional expertise while contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of patients presenting with various diagnoses and complex needs. Utilizing evidence-based and patient-centered approaches, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions within a specified clinical domain.

  • Foster the growth and development of junior staff through effective supervision, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Engage in the strategic planning, development, and assessment of clinical practices and service enhancements.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement and evolution of the Physiotherapy services offered by the Trust.
  • Lead initiatives in information management to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of clinical data collection and reporting.

Main Responsibilities

This position encompasses a rotational role across various specialties, including:

  • Cardiothoracic
  • Surgery with Head and Neck
  • General Critical Care
  • Neuro Rehabilitation
  • Major Trauma
  • Trauma and Orthopaedics

This is a full-time position, and we are looking for highly motivated physiotherapists who are keen to broaden their knowledge across different clinical areas within our inpatient teams.

The role involves rotating through critical care, neuro, and surgical specialties, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

Applicants should possess the skills and experience necessary to assess and treat patients with a wide range of conditions in an acute healthcare setting. Experience in supervising staff and training students is essential, and prior involvement in service development and audits is advantageous.

The post holder will be expected to work weekends and, when necessary, bank holidays as part of a comprehensive seven-day service. Participation in the respiratory on-call and weekend rota is also required, with training and support provided as needed.

  • Utilize advanced manual therapy skills requiring coordination and dexterity.
  • Prepare and present an annual report specific to your clinical area and contribute to the Physiotherapy business plan.
