Job Title: Governance & Compliance Manager

Join our team as a Governance & Compliance Manager and play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the governance framework for the Federated Data Platform (FDP) programme.

About the Role:

This is a hybrid role with flexibility for home working. As a Governance & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for leading governance meetings, managing the PMO Secretariat, ensuring the quality of all governance material, and supporting business planning processes to drive compliance and organisational effectiveness.

About the Federated Data Platform:

NHS England's Data and Analytics Directorate is driving the transformation to put patients in control of their data, support clinicians, decision-makers, and researchers with real-time, high-quality data, and empower the NHS Data Community to leverage their skills for high-value opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the forward plan for all core governance meetings, ensuring high standards and timely execution.
  • Manage the PMO Secretariat, providing leadership and guidance to ensure effective governance support.
  • Lead the development and implementation of high-quality processes for corporate compliance.
  • Support the FDP programme's business planning processes, focusing on commercial, finance, and workforce activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to governance and compliance standards.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in managing governance structures and corporate compliance in a complex environment.
  • Proven track record in business planning and financial management within the public or healthcare sector.
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks and best practices.
