Make a Lasting Impact

Our Claims teams are renowned for their technical expertise and customer-centric approach. As a Global Marine Recovery Technical Lead, you will collaborate with regional claims leadership, Global Marine business leaders, and other stakeholders to deliver a consistent, efficient, and customer-focused marine recovery proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical marine recovery support and leadership across Global Marine claim portfolio, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes through technical excellence and Total Cost of Claim management
  • Act as the Global Marine Recovery coordinator for large claims, authorizing settlements and payments within granted authority and referring over authority claim decisions to senior claim leadership
  • Work closely with North America (NA) Marine Liability Claim manager to develop bench strength across Global Marine Recovery, ensuring appropriate skill sets to support existing and future claim portfolios
  • Support continuous review of existing best practice guidelines and claim adjustment procedures with the NA Marine Liability Claim manager, identifying and implementing enhancements to ensure best practice in Global Marine Recovery
  • Contribute to AIG's Global Marine Recovery thought leadership by supporting Claims colleagues in contributing to and participating in market seminars, programs, and industry events
  • Support the implementation of VBA, LRA, and digital initiatives to improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with the NA Marine Liability Claim manager to identify and report Global Marine Recovery trends, lessons learned, and risk management opportunities, sharing insights with relevant Global Marine stakeholders

Requirements for Success

  • Strong technical Marine Recovery capability to manage and oversee AIG's Global Marine Recovery portfolio
  • Demonstrate a proven reputation in Global Marine Recovery management
  • Ability to manage the total cost of Global Marine Recovery indemnity and expense
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvement and efficiency opportunities
  • Highly collaborative approach to influence a broad range of Global Marine stakeholders, customers, and brokers/producers across multiple functions, geographies, and cultures
