Position Overview: Our esteemed not-for-profit organization is seeking a Senior Financial Operations Manager to ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory obligations.
You will take charge of the preparation and evaluation of FRS and UKGAAP reporting along with technical accounting documentation. Your role will involve advising, supporting, and consulting with stakeholders on intricate financial matters, providing expertise on complex accounting and reporting issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and implement new IFRS developments/standards and SORP guidelines, assisting with project management and oversight of significant changes in standards affecting the Group's reporting processes.
  • Deliver internal and ad-hoc training and guidance on technical accounting, new developments, and standards, offering leadership and support for ongoing and new initiatives.
  • Manage the integrity of data within the accounting system, overseeing month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations, authorizing journals, monitoring interfaces to CRM and eProcurement systems, and conducting monthly analysis of trial balances.
  • Collaborate with the management reporting team to facilitate the production of management accounts.
  • Provide analytics, guidance, and support on specific technical accounting areas such as fixed assets, end of service benefits, VAT, corporation tax, and other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the monthly production of the Finance team's cost center management accounts and review the forecast for the Group Accounting Team.

Qualifications:

You will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA) or possess equivalent experience, with a proven understanding of IFRS accounting standards. You should demonstrate strong technical accounting skills and the ability to engage with key stakeholders effectively.

Additionally, you will possess project management and leadership capabilities, along with financial analysis expertise, and experience in managing external audits and the preparation of financial statements.

Work Environment: This position offers a hybrid work model, primarily remote, with a competitive salary range of £49,000 - £57,500, complemented by an enhanced pension scheme and 26 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
