About the Role

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be conducting research regarding the identification and assessment of decarbonisation and Circular Economy policies and designing integrated modelling frameworks of the low carbon and circular transitions. The project will explore the synergistic effects and potential trade-offs between circularity and decarbonisation pathways, both from an analytical and modelling perspective, with a focus on key sectors, such as steel, cement and plastics.

About You

The ideal candidate is a quantitative, analytical and policy-oriented person, with a good knowledge of Circular Economy and energy/climate change issues, familiarity with data analysis and data manipulation, and a keen interest in sustainable resources, the circular economy and multi-disciplinary research.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct policy analysis and material and economic modelling in collaboration with colleagues and European project partners.
  • Design and develop integrated modelling frameworks for low carbon and circular transitions.
  • Explore synergistic effects and potential trade-offs between circularity and decarbonisation pathways.
