Job Summary:

The Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit at Northamptonshire Police is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safeguarding Manager to join their team. As a Safeguarding Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the Force's response to Domestic Abuse, working closely with local authorities and external partners to improve investigation standards and safeguard vulnerable victims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to tackle Domestic Abuse, working in collaboration with local authorities and external partners.
  • Lead the investigation of high-profile cases, ensuring that victims receive the support and protection they need.
  • Work closely with the Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit to identify and address gaps in service provision, ensuring that victims receive comprehensive support and protection.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, external partners, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and information sharing.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on Domestic Abuse and safeguarding issues, ensuring that the Force's response is informed by best practice and evidence-based.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a safeguarding or investigation role, with a strong understanding of Domestic Abuse and its impact on victims.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines.
