About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead our dual-site Supported Living services in Bedford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our services, ensuring high standards of care and support for our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational management of the home, including development, supervision, and performance management of staff
  • Responding to referrals and undertaking initial assessments of need, producing plans of support that ensure clear goals and expected outcomes for service users
  • Coordinating person-centered reviews, working closely with local multi-disciplinary teams and community-based agencies
  • Maintaining high standards of environmental, safety, and quality, providing a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for service users
  • Facilitating service user engagement, involvement, and peer support, keeping up to date with legislation and ensuring staff are appropriately experienced and trained for their roles
Requirements
  • Experience as a Registered Manager in a learning disabilities setting, ideally with Positive Behaviour Support training and experience
  • Proven management background, with the ability to demonstrate a caring and professional ethos
  • Ability to register with the CQC and ensure adherence to CQC regulations
  • Minimum of three years' experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, with a relevant care qualification (such as RMN/Dip SW, degree or NVQ Level 4/5)
  • Ability to collaborate and work professionally with service users, families, professionals, and work colleagues, with experience of supervising and supporting staff
  • Knowledge and skills to ensure safe management and administration of medication
