Key Responsibilities:

  • Line Management: Lead and manage a team of Healthcare Assistants to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support.

  • Stock Control: Maintain stock control and act as an authorised signatory, ensuring that the care team has the necessary resources to deliver high-quality care and support.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to team members, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver high-quality care and support.
  • Education and Training: Support education, training, and guidance to carers, colleagues, and students, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care and support.
  • Clinical Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised clinical care, ensuring that service users receive high-quality care and support.
  • Evidence-Based Practice: Use evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high-quality care, ensuring that the care team is delivering care that is based on the latest research and best practice.
  • Service User Participation: Ensure service users' participation in care planning and review, ensuring that their needs and preferences are taken into account.
  • Shift Management: Manage service users' care during shifts and communicate with colleagues, ensuring that the care team is delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Confidentiality and Safety: Act in accordance with all organisational policies and procedures, ensuring that service users' confidentiality and safety are maintained.

Requirements:

  • NMC Registration: Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Student Supervision and Assessment: Have completed the NMC Standards for Student Supervision and/or Assessment or be willing to undergo training.
