Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Operations Lead to join our team at Wates Group within the Responsive Maintenance Division, focusing on contracts in the South London area. This role will be primarily based in our Croydon office. You will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication with clients during regular review meetings and ensuring that all contracts adhere to high standards regarding KPIs, Health & Safety, and overall client satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage all regional operations while fostering a motivated and high-performing team
  • Guide the division with a focus on operational efficiency and commercial viability to meet contract requirements and improve profitability
  • Ensure robust project initiation with strong governance, production oversight, and consistent productivity evaluations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to ensure contract alignment with their expectations and requirements
  • Secure new projects by expanding industry connections and contributing to strategic tender submissions
  • Work collaboratively with supply chain partners to ensure compliance prior to project commencement
  • Authorize financial projections and provide precise cost planning insights
  • Encourage compliance and operational excellence throughout all levels of the division

Ideal Candidates should possess experience in an operational leadership capacity, with a proven track record in managing maintenance teams and projects, overseeing all phases from bidding to completion within established timelines and budgets.

Required Qualifications:
