Senior Claims Operations Lead

AIG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Operations Lead to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Global Business Operations team, you will play a critical role in driving high-quality innovation and cost efficiency in our processes, systems, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement claims strategic initiatives to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to deliver service excellence and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Manage first-line claims requirements, including SOX, FCA, PRA, internal/external regulatory, and control environment.
- Collaborate with the International Claims Programme/Project Manager to deliver IT projects and prioritize IT Audit & Regulatory changes for the UK.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including reporting, plans, risk register, etc.
- Report to managers and stakeholders as appropriate.
- Identify improvement opportunities and drive positive change in the UK while aligning to broader International and Global priorities.
- Execute Global and International strategic initiatives to ensure UK Claims embed change and cater to local requirements while recognizing consistency and alignment.
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement and communication with a focus on collaboration within the UK and across International Claims.
- Drive a strong risk management culture in UK Claims with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong first-line controls for key risks identified in UK claims, working collaboratively with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Operational Risk Management (ORM), Internal Audit Group (IAG), and Compliance to continuously improve.
- Coordinate and own (where appropriate) risk event mitigation plans and resolution of internal audit action plans across the UK.
- In collaboration with Global Claims Governance & Compliance, maintain UK Claims policies, standards, and controls, supporting/delivering training where necessary.
- Effectively prepare and accommodate changes in the regulatory environment that impact AIG's compliance obligations.
- Partner with the claims teams across the UK to provide continuous feedback, sharing information/learnings to manage and improve regulatory performance.
Requirements:
- A background in working in an operational environment and process improvement.
- Proven experience in project delivery and the ability to communicate and influence at varying levels.
- A proven track record in governance within the Insurance industry, preferably within claims.
- A Compliance, Governance, and/or audit, regulatory background with a good awareness of the Business and Regulatory environment.
- A proven track record as an effective change agent will be advantageous.
