Claims Recovery Specialist

AIG is seeking a skilled Claims Recovery Handler to join our team. As a Claims Recovery Handler, you will play a critical role in helping our customers manage risk and navigate the claims process.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Review and Analysis
Conduct thorough reviews of claim files to determine the feasibility of successful recovery, including investigations and evaluations of liability issues.
Negotiation and CommunicationEngage in telephone negotiations with third parties to establish and negotiate liability and quantum decisions within agreed handling authority.
Conflict Resolution and AwarenessProtect AIG and customer interests by handling conflicts of interest and anticipating and raising awareness of issues that may impact the business.
Training and DevelopmentTrain claims personnel in recovery recognition and procedures, and provide input in the development of training programs for all claims staff.
Staying Up-to-DateStay current with relevant case law, regulatory, legal, and statutory changes within the industry, and apply this knowledge to recovery files.
Compliance and Risk ManagementWork within agreed standards, limitations, and authorities, and comply with regulatory and risk management responsibilities.
Requirements- Excellent Communication Skills
Develop and maintain strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
Recovery Experience and Negotiation SkillsBring a proven track record of recovery experience and negotiation skills to the role.
Technical SkillsUtilize excellent knowledge of MS Office and other relevant tools to perform job duties.
Customer Service and Organizational SkillsProvide exceptional customer service and demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
Claims Handling KnowledgePossess comprehensive end-to-end understanding and/or claims handling within Casualty, Auto, or Property claims.
