RWE Renewables is expanding its Technical Contracting team and seeks a dedicated Technical Contract Manager to support offshore logistics contracts within our Wind Offshore Unit.

This role focuses on preparing technical tender documentation, coordinating and leading negotiations for technical matters and clarifications with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also contribute to developing and maintaining standard technical documentation for key contracts (e.g., turbine, foundation, substation), optimize processes, and implement work instructions.

Your Responsibilities
  • Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate the technical aspects of logistics contracts, including annexes, for wind offshore projects globally.
  • Act as the technical lead during negotiations, ensuring alignment on contractual terms.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments to integrate their input into contracts.
  • Gather and implement information from various departments to update annexes for new projects and markets (e.g., APAC, USA).
  • Evaluate offers, identify deviations, and ensure technical concessions made during negotiations comply with company policies and standards.
  • Manage contract reviews, amendments, terminations, capture lessons learned, and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure the correct implementation and interpretation of existing contracts.
  • Manage, track, and enhance existing technical contracts.
  • Support relevant departments/colleagues during due diligence phases on technical-contractual matters and claims processing.
  • Act as a point of contact between engineering, procurement, construction, and project members to clarify technical-contractual questions during tendering phases.
  • Provide in-house counsel on all technical contracting aspects throughout a project's lifecycle.
  • Directly interface with project teams during the preparation and execution phase.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in maritime engineering, mechanical engineering, renewable energies, or a related engineering field.
  • Relevant professional experience and expert knowledge in Project Management, Contract and Requirements Management, and comprehensive experience in the design, construction, and operation of wind farm components.
  • Experience in drafting, managing, and tracking technical contracts.
  • Interest in working at the intersection of engineering, legal, and commercial topics.
  • Understanding of offshore wind operations; on-site experience is welcome.
  • General understanding of project management mechanics, asset financing, and project development.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; other languages are beneficial.
  • Meticulous and precise approach to work.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable to working in a diverse international environment.
  • Proficient use of MS Office applications.
