About RWE AG

RWE AG is a leading international energy company that is expanding its Technical Contracting team. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Contract Manager to support Offshore logistic contracts in our Wind Offshore Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and evaluate technical tender documentation for logistic contracts, including annexes for wind offshore projects worldwide.
  • Lead negotiations for technical-contractual terms of agreements and act as a liaison between departments to ensure their input is considered in contracts.
  • Gather and implement information from other departments to prepare updated annexes for new projects and markets.
  • Evaluate offers, identify deviations, and ensure technical concessions made during negotiations align with company policies and standards.
  • Review, amend, and terminate technical contracts, capturing lessons learned and implementing improvements.
  • Cooperate with departments to ensure correct implementation and interpretation of existing contracts.
  • Manage and track existing technical contracts, supporting departments and colleagues during due diligence phases.
  • Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, and project members to clarify technical-contractual questions.
  • Provide in-house counsel for technical contracting matters and serve as a direct interface with project teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in maritime engineering, mechanical engineering, renewable energies, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional experience and expert knowledge in Project Management, Contract and Requirements Management, and wind farm component design, construction, and operation.
  • Experience in drafting, managing, and tracking technical contracts.
  • Interest in working at the intersection of engineering, legal, and commercial topics.
  • Knowledge of offshore wind operations and on-site experience.
  • General understanding of project management, asset financing, and project development.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, with other languages welcome.
  • A careful and precise approach to work.
  • Team-oriented and open to working in an international, diverse environment.
  • Effective use of MS Office applications.
