Job Title: Apprentice Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Physiotherapist to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As an Apprentice Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive acute NHS setting, providing high-quality patient-focused care through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for newly qualified physiotherapists seeking their first role, as well as more experienced Band 5s eager to enhance their skills in a diverse and engaging rotational programme. You will work as an autonomous practitioner under supervision, providing patient care through assessment, diagnosis, development, and delivery of individual treatment programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient-focused care through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner under supervision, providing patient care through assessment, diagnosis, development, and delivery of individual treatment programmes.
  • Take responsibility for your own caseload, under supervision, within a defined area of service or for a particular patient type.
  • Provide assistance in the supervision, support, and education of unqualified/more junior staff and students.
  • Contribute to our 7-day service on a rota basis, dependent on specialty of work/rotation.
  • Complete on-call over a 24-hour period/complete weekend working as appropriate to specialty.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy or soon to achieve this qualification.
  • Health and Care Professions Council Registration will be required before the candidate can commence in this post.
  • Training of other MDT members.
  • Responsible, Flexible, well-organized.
  • Understanding of Professional, Legal, and Clinical Governance responsibilities.
