Job Summary:The successful candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner under supervision, providing physiotherapy services to patients across various specialties, including respiratory care, accident and emergency, neurology, and more. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, under supervision, and contributing to the weekend rota and 24-hour on-call service.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake clinical assessments, including risk analysis, of patients presenting with simple and multi-pathologies.
- Use basic clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Formulate individual treatment programs based on evidence of best practice.
- Deliver treatments to patients, including handling, manual physiotherapy techniques, exercise therapy, and electrotherapy.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust as necessary.
- Participate in departmental audit and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice.
- Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy or soon to achieve this qualification.
- Health and Care Professions Council Registration.
- Experience in core specialties or a broad range of experience from different specialties.
- Appropriate experience within an acute NHS Trust.
- Evidence of recent/relevant Continuing Professional Development.
As a Rotational Physiotherapist with Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, you will receive support through regular supervision, mentorship, and a structured in-service training program. You will also have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
