We are seeking a Residential Care Unit Supervisor to become a vital part of our team at Cygnet.

Our facility is a specialized residential service designed for adults facing severe learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors. We are dedicated to fostering a secure, comfortable, and effective care environment that promotes independence and integration within the community.

Our on-site multi-disciplinary team (MDT) plays a crucial role in delivering outcome-focused care and support pathways. This integrated team includes professionals from psychiatry, psychology, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy, all working together to enhance daily living skills and minimize maladaptive behaviors.

At the core of our approach is person-centered planning, enabling us to adapt to the evolving needs of our residents as they navigate their care journey, while ensuring their safety and supporting their independence.

In this position, you will:

  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with residents and staff across the organization.
  • Communicate effectively with external agencies to advocate for our services.
  • Collaborate with your team to meet staffing requirements that align with residents' needs.
  • Oversee and manage the staff team efficiently.
  • Participate in on-call duties as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC guidelines and standards.

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A solid background in managing individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or challenging behaviors.
  • Exceptional staff management and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of and capability to implement CQC, the Mental Health Capacity Act, and other relevant regulations.
  • Strong presentation and report writing skills.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification.
  • A willingness to pursue a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care if not already obtained.
