SW9 Community Housing is a resident-led social housing charity dedicated to delivering exceptional housing management and maintenance services to its residents. With a strong focus on community engagement and customer satisfaction, we are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Income Officer.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to take on the role of Income Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective collection of rent, service charges, and other income owed to us by our residents. Your primary objective will be to maximize our income while providing excellent customer service and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and manage rent, service charges, and other income owed to SW9 Community Housing
  • Work closely with residents to resolve any issues or concerns related to their accounts
  • Process and manage Direct Debit payments
  • Liaise with local authorities and the Department of Work and Pensions regarding Housing Benefit and Universal Credit claims
  • Prepare and serve notices, possession proceedings, and other relevant documentation
  • Represent SW9 Community Housing in court and at tribunals
Requirements
  • Maths and English GCSE (Grade C or above) or equivalent
  • Degree or equivalent, training, or experience in a relevant field
  • Professional Housing Qualification or willingness to work towards
