About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team at Devon County Council. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals to maximize their independence and potential, while reducing and managing risk to themselves and their carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical assessments to identify the needs of adults with disabilities and health conditions across North Devon.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans to promote independence and safety.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Hold and manage a caseload, providing a person-centered service through clinical assessment.
  • Participate in service development and contribute to the growth and improvement of our Occupational Therapy team.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience relevant to the post.
  • Experience of working in close liaison with other agencies and in a Social Care and/or Health community setting.
  • Professional knowledge acquired through a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration as fit to practice by the Health and Care Professions Council.
