Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team at Devon County Council. The successful candidate will be part of a friendly and supportive team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to adults with a wide range of disabilities and health conditions across North Devon.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop personalized care plans to enable individuals to maximize their independence and potential.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to provide a comprehensive service, including signposting, advice, equipment provision, and referrals to other teams.
  • Hold and manage a caseload, providing a person-centered service through clinical assessment and intervention.
  • Participate in service development and contribute to the growth and improvement of the Occupational Therapy team.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in Occupational Therapy, with a strong background in community-based settings.
  • Experience of working in close liaison with other agencies and healthcare professionals.
  • Professional knowledge acquired through a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy, and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
