About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team at Devon County Council. As a key member of our Care Direct Plus North team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to adults with a wide range of disabilities and health conditions across North Devon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop person-centred care plans to enable individuals to maximise their independence and potential.
  • Work closely with other agencies, including NHS teams, social care teams, and equipment providers, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on moving and handling, and optimise care through reviews and recommendations.
  • Manage a caseload and provide a person-centred service through clinical assessment, within the context of local government policy and legislation.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in occupational therapy, with experience of working in close liaison with other agencies.
  • Professional knowledge acquired through a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy, and registration as fit to practice by the Health and Care Professions Council.
