About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Integrated Neurodiversity Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of children, young people, and their families who present with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Condition, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Tics and Tourette Syndrome.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist assessment and intervention to children and young people within the Integrated Neurodiversity Team.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Mental Health Practitioners.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of each child or young person.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with families and carers, providing support and guidance throughout the intervention process.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of services within the Integrated Neurodiversity Team.

Essential Requirements

  • A professional qualification at degree level or equivalent in a relevant field, such as Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or a related discipline.
  • Professional registration/accreditation with a recognised body (e.g., NMC, HCPC, Social Work England, UKCP, BABCP).
  • Substantial experience of managing a complex caseload and working with children and young people presenting with a range of mental health needs.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary and multi-agency environment.
  • Ability to be mobile across a geographical area in a timely manner.
  • Computer literacy.

Desirable Requirements

  • A recognised qualification in evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and young people.
  • Postgraduate qualification relevant to your specialism.
  • Clinical Supervision qualification.
  • Experience of participating in user involvement initiatives.
  • Mentoring experience for students in line with professional requirements.
