Job Title: Children's Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist mental health assessments and treatments to children and young people in our care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health services for children and young people in Devon.
  • Provide specialist mental health assessments and treatments to children and young people in our care.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for our patients.
  • Participate in on-call duties and join the regular peer group CPD forum to stay up-to-date with best practices and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Support the development of clinical supervision and mentorship programs for junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview.
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
  • Evidence of sub-speciality or other specific training, e.g. systemic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy.
  • CCT Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
