Position Overview

We are seeking skilled Pharmacists to contribute to our operations.

Your responsibilities will include verifying prescriptions and orders for medications and ancillary items prior to their distribution.

You will also ensure compliance with all quality standards and regulations set forth by national pharmaceutical authorities, including the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), as well as our Corporate Quality Manual and ISO standards.

Additionally, you will provide training and guidance to relevant stakeholders across various business functions regarding pharmacy and legal requirements, while supervising pharmacy checkers, warehouse pickers, and loaders.

Key Responsibilities

Verify that all prescription-only medicines (POM) and pharmacy-only medicines (P) are thoroughly checked for accuracy in product code, description, batch number, expiry date, and required quantity. Document and rectify any errors identified during the checking process. Ensure that patient labels are correctly applied to all home patient orders and ancillary products. Adhere to established SOPs, GPhC, and RPS standards throughout your work. Conduct timely checks on all orders to meet delivery schedules. Perform clinical checks on prescriptions, documenting any errors and reporting them as necessary. Provide expert advice on medications and processes to patients, prescribers, and Baxter staff. Address and manage complaints effectively, ensuring proper investigation and reporting. Comply with all FMD requirements during stock receipt, dispensing, and returns.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm). Current membership with the GPhC. Demonstrated experience in staff supervision. In-depth knowledge of dispensing and distribution best practices. Ability to perform under pressure. Strong verbal, numerical, and written communication skills.
