About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our Elective Surgical Admissions team at Northampton General Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing pharmaceutical care to our patients throughout their perioperative journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of medicines management policies and procedures.
  • Provide specialist pharmacy input into Theatre areas and support Surgical Services.
  • Optimise medicines through prescribing role operating within areas of competence.
  • Identify new opportunities for the development of Pharmacy Services and assist in the preparation of business cases.
  • Support the training of all staff across the division.
  • Contribute to the Directorate Prescribing Reports, which monitor, analyse and report on medicine use and expenditure.
Requirements
  • BPharm or MPharm degree.
  • Member of General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Achieved (or working towards) postgraduate clinical qualification (or equivalent knowledge/experience).
