Business Development Specialist

At Calor Gas, we're committed to keeping our customers safe, warm, working, and informed. As a Business Development Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our National Partnership Manager in generating new sales leads from emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date with industry news and knowledge to identify new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry experts, manufacturers, and specifiers to establish new partnerships and generate leads.
- Collaborate with our sustainable fuels team to develop products that run on our eco-friendly fuels.
- Update Calor staff on our sustainable fuels journey, new partnerships, and industry updates through quarterly meetings.
- Research and explore new markets to bring to the business.
- Qualify high-value leads and assist field sales in securing new customers.
- Educate customers on our Futuria fuels portfolio and consult with our sustainable fuels team to set pricing.
- Manage sales pipelines and attend relevant trade shows and conventions.
- Hand over established accounts to regional or national sales teams.
- Contribute to the creation of marketing assets to promote Calor and its products to the domestic and commercial specifier community.
- Produce management reports as required.
Requirements:
- Experience working with CRM systems.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Initiative-taking and analytical approach.
