The objective is to assist students in successfully navigating their journey towards admission into competitive higher education institutions, ensuring equitable access for all eligible students across Wales.

Key Responsibilities

Your Role:

  • Act as the primary liaison for students, educators, and families, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Lead the strategic implementation of the educational program within the designated region.
  • Guide students through a tailored series of activities designed to enhance their understanding of higher education pathways.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and events to foster students' knowledge of higher education options.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions to create enriching opportunities, including educational trips and competitions.
  • Work alongside government policy teams and program partners to share best practices and maintain consistency across regions.
  • Provide continuous mentorship to assist students in navigating their educational journeys.
  • Advocate for students' academic aspirations, ensuring they are well-prepared for selective degree programs.

Qualifications and Skills

To thrive in this position, candidates should possess:

  • Experience in education, youth development, or a related field, particularly in higher education access.
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A strong commitment to promoting educational equity and social mobility, along with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
