Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to join our team at the Wales Medicines Strategy Group. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the operational management of our General Surgery Directorate.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Specialty Manager, including managing waiting lists and day-to-day operational issues.
  • Take ownership of your workload, prioritizing tasks and using your initiative to problem-solve.
  • Support the Specialty Manager in performing designated activities and tasks that contribute to our service objectives.
Person Specification
  • Educated to degree level with relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Proven experience in a busy administrative environment, with a focus on team management and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
