Position Overview

As an Apprenticeship Educator, your primary responsibility will be to design, support, and deliver high-quality personalized learning experiences in both virtual and in-person environments. Your goal will be to empower learners to reach their fullest potential through transformative education that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver exceptional teaching and learning experiences remotely and in-person (approximately 20% face-to-face, primarily in designated areas) tailored to individual learner needs, adhering to educational standards.

2. Support learners in enhancing their literacy and numeracy skills by providing effective instruction, mentoring, and specialized guidance based on their unique requirements.

3. Collaboratively develop learning programs with learners and their supervisors to ensure consistent progress and achievement.

4. Conduct Functional Skills education and provide tailored support to meet learner needs.

5. Ensure that off-the-job training and learning align with the specific needs of each learner.

6. Offer comprehensive Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) to assist learners in their progression and understanding of available options throughout their educational journey.

7. Maintain constructive relationships with employers, providing regular updates on learner progress and achievements.

8. Keep accurate and up-to-date learner records in compliance with regulatory standards and conduct audits to ensure adherence to funding and inspection requirements.

9. Monitor and enhance apprenticeship progress to improve outcomes and workplace integration.

10. Implement training workshops as necessary, ensuring feedback from employers, apprentices, and stakeholders informs planning and continuous improvement.

11. Prepare learners for endpoint assessments in accordance with curriculum requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant awarding bodies and educational standards.

12. Engage in standardization activities and maintain current industry knowledge and teaching practices.

Qualifications and Skills

A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Qualified in the relevant occupational competencies with up-to-date industry knowledge.

Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths, along with robust IT skills.

Experience in training, teaching, or coaching, with a solid foundation in building professional relationships.

Proven ability to motivate learners, work independently, and manage a demanding workload effectively.

Willingness to travel for face-to-face learner engagement and undergo necessary background checks prior to employment.

Desirable Attributes

At least 2 years of experience in delivering and assessing vocational education programs and apprenticeships.

Expertise in providing information, advice, and guidance, with excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills.

A personable and collaborative approach, capable of working under pressure and committed to continuous professional development.
