Position Summary

As an Apprenticeship Tutor, your primary responsibility will be to design, support, and deliver exceptional personalized learning experiences in both virtual and in-person environments. Your goal will be to empower learners to reach their full potential through transformative education that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences both remotely and in-person (approximately 20% face-to-face, primarily in designated areas), tailored to meet individual learner needs in accordance with educational standards.

2. Support learners in improving their mathematics and English skills by providing effective instruction, mentoring, and specialized support based on individual requirements.

3. Collaborate with learners and their supervisors to design learning programs that ensure consistent progress.

4. Conduct Functional Skills education and support customized to learner needs.

5. Ensure that off-the-job training and learning align with individual learner requirements.

6. Provide comprehensive Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) to assist learners in their progression and awareness of available options throughout their educational journey.

7. Maintain positive relationships with employers by providing regular updates on learner progress.

8. Keep accurate and up-to-date learner records in compliance with regulatory standards and conduct audits to ensure adherence to funding and inspection criteria.

9. Monitor and enhance apprenticeship progress to promote better outcomes and workplace integration.

10. Organize training workshops as needed, ensuring that feedback from employers, apprentices, and stakeholders informs planning and continuous improvement.

11. Prepare learners for endpoint assessments in line with curriculum requirements, ensuring compliance with awarding bodies and educational standards.

12. Engage in standardization activities and maintain current industry knowledge and teaching practices.

Qualifications

A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Qualified in relevant occupational competencies with up-to-date industry knowledge.

Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics, along with proficient IT skills.

Experience in training, teaching, or coaching, with a solid foundation in building professional relationships.

Demonstrated ability to motivate, work independently, and manage a demanding workload effectively.

Willingness to travel for in-person learner engagement and undergo necessary background checks prior to employment.

Preferred Attributes

At least 2 years of experience in delivering and assessing vocational learning programs and apprenticeships.

Expertise in providing information, advice, and guidance, with excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills.

A personable and collaborative approach, capable of working under pressure and committed to continuous professional development.
